PAYPAL / BEHIND THE BUTTON

During my time as Hero4Hire’s in-house Creative Director of Motion Graphics, PayPal reached out for H4H to help build their “Behind the Button” Campaign. They were looking for a newly polished vehicle for communicating that they could help “Customers buy & Merchants sell… with confidence.” A reminder that PayPal is not just a flat button you press after winning an auction on Ebay.

H4H took the message to the next level by building a world that “combined 2D, 3D, and live-action footage”. One of the key elements that sold the direction, was that yellow could represent the Merchants… and the Blue… the Consumers (or vice versa), reinforcing the concept of their “two-sided network”. Below are the initial set of images and concepts I pulled to sell the Art Direction, as well as some styleframes that I created to help envision how objects could live within the 3D, PayPal branded world.
